13. Information and communications

The reporting of financial information

Schibsted aims to issue financial reports that investors can have confidence in. In accordance with its mandate, the Group Board’s Audit Committee monitors the work on the company’s financial reports.

Schibsted publishes its financial figures quarterly. In connection with the Group’s quarterly reports, open presentations to investors are arranged. At these presentations, the CEO and CFO review the results and comment on the market and outlook. The chair of the Group Board and other members of the Group management attend these presentations as required.

The presentations in connection with the quarterly results are made available on the company’s website. The complete annual financial statements and directors’ report are made available on the company’s website at least 21 days before the Annual General Meeting.  The company’s financial calendar is announced for one year at a time and published on the company’s website.

Other market information

In accordance with the Norwegian Securities Trading Act and Stock Exchange Act, notifications to the Oslo Stock Exchange and national and international news agencies are published and distributed.

Schibsted regularly arranges a Capital Markets Day in order to present its strategy and other key development trends. Schibsted’s Capital Markets Day 2010 was held in Oslo on 22 September. A video webcast of the entire event and the presentation material are available on the company’s website.

Dialogue with shareholders and the financial market

Schibsted’s dedicated, active management and investor relations department make efforts each day to ensure that the financial market receives relevant and sufficient information on time and that a basis for the correct pricing of the Schibsted share is formed.

Contact with the Norwegian and international stock markets are given high priority in Schibsted. The goal is to raise awareness about the company, build confidence in Schibsted in the investment market, increase our share liquidity and form the basis for the correct pricing of the share. Openness, accessibility and transparency are fundamental to ensuring good relationships with investors, analysts and other stakeholders in the financial market.
