  • Strong digital growth. Aftonbladet's advertising revenues for online were higher than for print several months during the year.
  • Svenska Dagbladet was awarded Digital Newspaper of the Year by the Swedish newspaper publishing association Tidningsutgivarna (TU).
  • Tillväxtmedier launched the in-house developed services suredo.se and elpriser.se as an important part of the focus on financial services.

Schibsted Sverige comprises three main business areas: Aftonbladet (single-copy print newspaper and online newspaper), Svenska Dagbladet (morning print newspaper and online newspaper) and Schibsted Tillväxtmedier (internet-based growth companies). While Hitta.se is organizationally part of Schibsted Tillväxtmedier, it is reported as part of Online Classifieds.

  • AFTONBLADET

    Aftonbladet is leading the way in developing the Swedish media industry's structural reorganization and is focusing the efforts on responding to the readers' new media habits. Soon two out of three readers will be online, on the web and mobile. Total operating revenues were SEK 2,239 million (SEK 2,443 million). The operating margin (EBITDA) was 14 per cent (14%).

    Svenska Dagbladet is continuously improving, resulting in a stronger position in the digital area in 2011. Total operating revenues were SEK 1,148 million (SEK 1,144 million). The operating margin (EBITDA) was 8 per cent (9%).

  • SHIBSTED TILLVÄXTMEDIER

    Schibsted Tillväxtmedier comprise a portfolio of internet based growth companies. Tillväxtmedier will consolidate and strengthen the national, Swedish position on the internet. Many companies have continued the poitive trends throughout 2011. Total operating revenues were SEK 635 million (SEK 451 million). The operating margin (EBITDA) was 6 per cent (4%).
