New Director of Communications

Anders Rikter (42) has taken up the new position as Director of Communications of Schibsted Media Group from January 1, 2011.

Rikter is in charge of Schibsted’s external communication, in addition to executive responsibility for internal communication. As part of his tasks, he will work closely with CEO Rolv Erik Ryssdal and the corporate management team.

Anders Rikter has been in a temporary position as Schibsted’s Head of Communications since April 2010. Before that he was the Football Association of Norway’s Head of Communications for the European Championship 2016-project. He has also worked at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a communications advisor and also acted as Head of Communication on several occasions.

Anders Rikter has long experience as a journalist, among others for Stavanger Aftenblad, VG, TV2, and Nettavisen. He holds a Cand.Mag. degree in English and history from the University of Oslo and an MA degree in European Society from Maastricht, in addition to journalism studies from the Stavanger University College.

Anders Rikter will head Schibsted Media Group’s Communications Department, which in addition to himself consists of Head of Internal Communication Helen Kierulf Svane.
