A new readership survey shows that 20 Minutes has 2,029,000 daily readers in France, and 56 % of the readers are below 35 years old. Based on the number of readers 20 Minutes is now the third largest newspaper in France, after Le Monde (2,085,000) og Le Parisien – AEF (2,076,000). However, 20 Minutes is by far the most read newspaper amoung the young readers.
The free-sheet newspaper is circulated in Paris, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Bordeaux and Toulouse with a total circulation of 675,000 copies. In these cities, 20 Minutes has most readers. In Paris, 20 Minutes has 1,536,000 readers, while Le Parisien has 1,659,000 readers and Metro has 1,122,000 readers.
20minutes Paris reported its first monthly break-even in November.
