CEO Rolv Erik Ryssdal will give a presentation on the status and strategy for Schibsted Media Group. Also on the agenda will be Schibsted’s new Future Report on digital trends that will affect society, consumers, and the media. Board Chair Ole Jacob Sunde will also attend the meeting.
“Schibsted is a long-established Norwegian company that is currently undergoing a transformation unparalleled in our one hundred and seventy five-year history. At the same time we have expanded internationally and now have operations in 29 countries. I very much value the Crown Prince’s interest in this area and look forward to telling him more about the types of challenges and opportunities these fundamental changes present,” says CEO Rolv Erik Ryssdal
The Crown Prince will meet Norwegian and international trainees taking part in Schibsted Media Group’s popular trainee program.
The Crown Prince will also be given a tour of Aftenposten’s newly renovated premises in Akersgata 55, where he will see how the desk works live on digital products and what decisions on news coverage need to be made on the spot. Aftenposten will also present some examples to illustrate how the media house works in the digital transformation. The program will conclude with a meeting with Editor-in-Chief Espen Egil Hansen and CEO Sondre Gravir.
“We are pleased to be welcoming His Royal Highness to Aftenposten. He will gain a deeper insight into how Aftenposten practices journalism and how we are in a continual process of change to keep up with changing readership habits. We will also demonstrate the growing importance of technology and data analysis in a media house like Aftenposten,” says Hansen.
