“The winner has not only introduced but continues to develop new zero-emission solutions that streamline the logistics chain and significantly reduce emissions,” says Are Kjensli, CEO of NHO Logistics and Transport.

The award recognises Helthjem’s long-term dedication to sustainable and innovative delivery solutions. The company has been a leader in promoting zero-emission options and fostering a circular economy through its services.

The jury highlighted Helthjem’s role as an innovator in peer-to-peer distribution, specifically noting its strong collaborations with platforms like Finn.no and Tise that make trading second-hand goods easier and promote large-scale reuse. Helthjem’s commitment to expanding zero-emission solutions and its use of over 400 electric vehicles were key factors in the win. The goal of achieving a zero-emission value chain by 2040 remains at the forefront of Helthjem’s work.

A Stronger Circular Economy

Helthjem’s distribution services, particularly in enabling customers to send second-hand items, are making a real difference. Recent findings show that around 95% of its customers use these services to send used goods, and over half are now selling items they might have otherwise thrown away. This is driving a shift in attitudes towards sustainability and helping reduce waste.

In 2023 alone, the company facilitated over two million second-hand package deliveries between individuals, positioning it as a leader in this field. Helthjem is seeing continued growth, with a 20% increase in private customer deliveries so far this year. This growth is powered by its user-friendly solutions and the expansion of its electric vehicle fleet.

Looking Ahead to 2040

Helthjem’s long-term vision is ambitious: a fully emission-free value chain by 2040. With over 400 Paxster vehicles in operation and solar-powered initiatives at its terminal in Vestby, it is taking big steps toward this goal.

“This award fills me with pride. I hope Helthjem can inspire other companies to prioritise sustainability and environmental responsibility as core values. We will continue to push boundaries and ensure that our customers always receive the most sustainable and efficient solutions possible,” says Helthjem CEO Anders Lunde Angen.
