Schibsted Vekst last week signed a lease agreement to house its companies Mitt Anbud, Prisjakt, Let’s Deal, Kickback and Snapsale.
“We want to be close to where things are happening. We also have a goal to contribute towards developing Oslo and help make the city in general, and Toyen in particular, an even more attractive destination for entrepreneurship. We actively support the Tøyen Startup Village initiative, and look forward to becoming their neighbors in Tøyentorget,” says Christian Horn Hanssen, Investment Manager in Schibsted Growth Norway.
One proposal that drew widespread attention in discussions about Innovation Norway’s initiative Drømmeløftet (The Dream Commitment) was to help boost Norway’s startup scene through initiatives such as IKT Norge’s Startup Village Tøyen.
“This will serve as the basis for further development of a structure for engagement that will focus on value creation for both the market and for society in the years ahead,” says Beathe Due in Tøyen Startup Village.
“We believe Tøyen will contribute towards increasing value creation for our companies. Employees are provided with modern, practical office premises in a highly attractive location. At the same time we want to contribute to boosting Oslo’s startup scene,” says Horn Hanssen.
“Hopefully we can help put Tøyen Startup Villlage on the entrepreneurial map, and we believe that TSV will create a community and a center of gravity which everyone will benefit from,” adds Horn Hanssen.
