Sweden’s big media happening, the “Newspaper of the Year” awards, took place in Stockholm on Tuesday 15 October.
Aftonbladet received a total of four awards:
- Media Leader of the Year: Publisher Jan Helin
- Digital Media of the Year
- Market Achievement of the Year
- Editorial Staff of the Year: Sportbladet
SvD received one award:
- Advertising Campaign of the Year

OMNI: Innovation of the Year – twice on the same night!
Schibsted Sverige’s new news service OMNI also received the award for Innovation of the Year, on the same night as OMNI also got the Schibsted Innovation Award in the category “New Business Innovation”.
