Telia, Telenor og Schibsted have today replaced the letter of intent entered into in January 1998 with a final agreement regarding the ownership of SOL AB. As previously agreed the ownership in SOL AB will be: Schibsted 40%, Telia 40%, and Telenor 20%. The agreement also includes a bundling agreement, between SOL AB and Telia companies, whereby the users are given the opportunity to choose SOL’s portal Passagen as their default start-up page in their installation procedure.
The agreement does not include the cityguide company Allt Om Stockholm AB (AOS). The negotiations regarding the ownership in AOS continue and are expected to be completed in the first quarter of 1999.
An agreement has also been entered into with Det Berlingske Officin regarding SOL AS in Denmark and Alt om Købehavn (AOK). As a result of the agreement Schibsted will become 100% owner of the portal company SOL AS and 49% owner in the cityguide company AOK, while Det Berlingske Officin will own 51% in AOK. The ambitions for co-operation regarding editorial content between SOL AS, AOK og Det Berlingske Officin are maintained.
The changed ownership situation in the Danish companies facilitates pan-Scandinavian co-ordination of the portal operations, while the cityguide company AOK will have an even stronger relationship with a strong local partner.
