Schibsted ASA and the owners of Bladkompaniet have signed a letter of intent regarding the acquisition of all the shares of Bladkompaniet including its subsidiaries.

The letter of intent is expected to be replaced by a final agreement by the end of the first quarter of 1999 after the due diligence process has been completed. Bladkompaniet is part owner of Bladcentralen which is the largest Norwegian distributor of magazines and books to grocery stores, gas stations and newsstands.

Bladkompaniet publishes books and magazines for the mass market in Norway and had total revenues of approximately NOK 130 million in 1998. The company has a total of 50 employees.
