Aftonbladet Hierta AB has today acquired 100% of the shares in TA Teleadress Information Holding AB, which operates the number information service www.hitta.se. The company has also a leading position within the Swedish market for resale of contact data for the direct marketing and directory businesses.
Aftonbladet will through the acquisition of www.hitta.se take a position in the ad market for online catalogues, and thereby further complement the Group’s current strong position in the Internet ad market through www.aftonbladet.se, www.blocket.se and www.bytbil.com. www.hitta.se was launched in the summer of 2004, and recorded in December 376,000 visitors according to Nielsen NetRatings, 32% more than in November. Aftonbladet also sees a great potential in the market for direct marketing, where Teleadress today holds a leading position as supplier of contact data.
The acquisition is conditional upon the approval from the Swedish Competition Authorities. The approval process is expected to be completed before the end of March 2005. Acquisition price equals approx. SEK 200 million.
