The Norwegian Competition Authority has given notice of a possible intervention against the establishment of Media Norge. The reason stated is a possibly changed competitive situation within the market areas classified ads and printing services. The authorities have concluded that the competitive situation within distribution of news both offline and online will not be negatively affected. Discussions with the Norwegian Competition Authority have started, and until 18 May efforts will be directed towards finding the means for securing the establishment of the new media group in accordance with the competition law.
