The managing director of Aftenposten, Olav Mugaas, has been appointed director of Schibsted. Mugaas will enter the Schibsted management team and will report to Executive Vice President of Norway, Birger Magnus. He will work with the regional newspapers and the establishment of Media Norge. Under the management of Mugaas, Aftenposten has established its strong market position within print newspapers and become a dominant player in new channels. Mugaas will take up his new position on 1 August.
Kristin Skogen Lund (40) will become the new managing director of Aftenposten. Skogen Lund has since 2004 been the commercial director of Aftenposten, with responsibility for advertising and circulation revenues. She was previously the CEO of Scanpix Scandinavia and the managing director/responsible editor of Scandinavia Online (SOL). Skogen Lund holds an MBA from INSEAD in France.
