"Yes" to Media Norge

The Independent Media Ownership Council has today decided to allow the establishment of Media Norge.  This means that Schibsted and the Media Norge partners will continue the process with establishing Media Norge in accordance with the Media Ownership Regulation and the conditions in the Media Ownership Council’s decision:
 
  • Schibsted’s shares in Stavanger Aftenblad will be converted to shares in Media Norge and will be a part of Schibsted’s obligation to reduce their Media Norge ownership  
    •  
  • Schibsted will sell all shares, 34,3% ownership, in Adresseavisen ASA and reduce the ownership  to 40% in Harstad Tidende Gruppen
    •  
    Representatives from the Media Norge project will host a press conference in Schibsteds’s office, Apotekergaten 10, today at 2:00 PM.
