SCHIBSTED NEWSPRINT PRICES IN 1997
Norske Avisers Landsforbund (the Federation of Norwegian Newspapers) has
come to agreement over the 1997 newsprint prices with Norske Skog and
five other producers. The average price reduction for 1997 will be
approximately 17% compared with the 1996 prices.
Aftonbladet in Sweden has made an agreement with its suppliers on
similar terms.
The cost reduction in 1997 for Schibsteds three major newspapers will be
approximately NOK 70 million, compared with 1996, given unchanged volum
of paper consumption.
