With background in an article in the press on January 17, Schibsted can confirm that Schibsted and Metronome are in negotiations regarding a possible merger of the two companies` activities within film distribution and film rights in the Nordic countries If a new company is formed it will be owned 50% by Schibsted and 50% by Sandrew and will have annual revenues of approximately NOK 600 million. Currently, Schibsted`s activities within these areas have annual revenues of approximately NOK 150 million. A final agreement has not entered into and an agreement is subject to approval from Schibsted`s board of directors. Further information will be distributed at a later date.
