Trond Berger has been appointed new Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Schibsted ASA. Mr. Berger is 41 years and most recently he was the head of investments at Stormbull, a Norwegian investment company. From 1992 to 1998 he was employed by Nycomed Amersham, where he held various positions, including Executive Vice President and CFO and most recently as Executive Vice President for strategy and business development. From 1981 to 1992, Mr. Berger was employed by Arthur Andersen & Co. where he was a partner.

Mr. Berger has a degree in business administration from the Norwegian School of Management (BI) (1981) and he is a State-authorised Public Accountants in Norway (1984). He will commence his position with Schibsted during the first quarter of 1999.
