Schibsted entered partnership with SLBC, Norway’s largest student sport festival

We are always looking for new ways to interact with the students, to engage with young talents and to promote Schibsted as a future employer.

Schibsted has entered a partnership with Studentlekene Bergen Challenge (SLBC), Norway’s largest student sport festival. As main sponsors our goal is to increase Schibsted awareness among students and be connected with students and future employees. The student game Bergen Challenge saw the light of day for the first time in 2011. Since then, SLBC has established itself as a solid brand both locally and nationally.

SLBC is mainly organized by approximately 600 volunteer students from the Norwegian School of Economics, and in 2018 they opened to recruit ambassadors at all the major study institutions in the country. The next SLBC will be held 12th – 16th October 2022, with the goal being more than 2,500 participants from across the country. It is part of a strategy to achieve their goal of becoming Norway’s largest student sports festival of all time.

“We will have several Schibsted speakers making speeches to the volunteers; we will arrange company talks and presentations at the Norwegian School of Economics; we will participate in the road shows to different universities in Norway. We look forward to exploring the synergies we can achieve together. With the student games Bergen Challenge focusing on sustainability, diversity, inclusion and innovation, this is the right opportunity for us to communicate our values to the communities”, says Kristina Gribaleva, Talent Programs Lead in Schibsted.
