Schibsted was also the favorite in 2010 and 2011.
“We are very pleased to know that Schibsted again is the top choice in this ranking! We put a lot of effort into being an attractive employer and attracting the best people, says CEO Rolv Erik Ryssdal.
“Schibsted owns a lot of great companies and solid brands that people use a lot in their everyday life, such as VG, Aftenposten and FINN here in Norway. We hold a similar position in Sweden with Aftonbladet, Svenska Dagbladet and Blocket.se. Schibsted Media Group is now present in 29 countries and we believe that it makes us attractive to be able to offer international career opportunities. Also, we are very focuses on internal mobility among our companies, which we know makes us attractive both for the people who already work for us as well as those who are interested in joining us. I am also very pleased with the record-high interest we are receiving for our great trainee program, since this is an important recruitment channel for us,” says Ryssdal.
Partner and advisor Ole Aleksander Janzso in Mediabemanning explains Schibsted Media Group’s top ranking with the offensive digital strategy.
“We’re not surprised Schibsted is on top. Schibsted has for many years been one of the leaders of the digital media development, and has been successful at taking important positions in the media industry. A lot of people want to work in companies that are strong digitally, says Janzso.
For instance, FINN was recently voted Norway’s second best place to work in Norway by Great Place to Work Norway.
