More than 300 sales people from Schibsted Media Group’s companies participated at the event to BOOST and celebrate the best sales people and teams from 2017. The evening program was once again devoted to celebrating our victories and excellent sales performances in Schibsted’s energetic sales culture style.
This year, there were six categories in the competition:
- Sales Person of the Year
- Sales Manager of the Year
- Sales Team of the Year
- Performance of the Year
- Cross Functional Team of the Year
- Schibsted World Championship (former Sales Organization of the Year)

Sales Person of the Year: Leslie Boacharia, Leboncoin, France
Her positive attitude, her smartness and her ability to get the most out of each client conversation are the keys to her success and an inspiration to her colleagues. Leslie is a telesales machine who delivers amazing results in a mature market, mainly through upselling and pricing. Her great smile and positive energy is transmitted through the phone to clients and has a great positive effect on the working environment. Leslie is a high performer and a role model to her colleagues. She is customer oriented, with a taste for challenges and delivers fantastic results in a mature market!
Sales Manager: Michael Hili, Sweden
Michael Hili is the first sales manager in the 11 year history of Sales Awards who has been awarded two years in a row. This emphasizes the quality of his fantastic efforts, and his leadership capabilities. He is a visionary leader with a strategic mindset, who systematically works to achieve outstanding results over and over again. He is a role model for his employees and peers, excellent at building strong sales teams and cultivating talents. Michael is a real team player with a LOT of passion for sales!
Sales Team: Blocket Jobb, Sweden
This team has beaten their already ambitious budget and continued to be a growth engine in their company. They have grown by 49% compared to last year’s results, and have beaten their budget 16 months in a row. Their great achievement during 2017 has secured their position as the leading job board in Sweden. An entrepreneurial mindset and a strong culture, combined with great results and structured cooperation across the organization makes the winning team stand out. Blocket Jobb shows passion for sales – every day!
Performance of the Year: VG Familieklubben, Norway
An innovative performance that is at the heart of what Schibsted stands for, driving new digital users and creating results fast! The product is easily scalable to other areas and countries. Reaching a very attractive target group, Familieklubben brings in money and has been profitable already in the first year. This is a great example of creative thinking that benefits the whole Schibsted Norway ecosystem.
Cross functional team of the Year: BLINK Real Estate, Norway
This year’s winner has had a growth of more than 1,000 % from 2016 to 2017. BLINK has succeeded in developing a cutting-edge, data-driven digital product and in proving value to users and clients. This is an excellent example of innovative product development reaching new and established customers and includes various functions and expertise represented by sales, product and tech. The winner brings together a vast number of people, across organisations, teams and functions in Schibsted!
World Championship: Austria
Based on the jury´s evaluation and the Boost participants votes at the Sales Awards, Austria is the first ever winner of Schibsted World Championship! Their success is driven by continuous training to improve sales skills. The united power and strong culture of all sales teams of all industries and verticals, is key to their great results in 2017.
Insight selling is truly putting the client at the center of all initiatives and activities. Austria has proven to live by Schibsted values and they have a sales culture to be proud of!
