In Norway, Arendalsuka is regarded as one of the most important meeting places of the year for leaders in politics, business and media. This year’s Arendalsuka was full of insightful and empowering conversations and presentations – so of course, Schibsted was there to both share and gain knowledge. For two whole days, our brands and our people held presentations and discussions ranging from how to reach the unreachable with our news to how diversity breeds innovation.
As Arendalsuka is a key political space in Norway, we discussed critical journalism in the centre of power, where the entrepreneurs are in the political debate about entrepreneurs and the world economy being at the tipping point. We also held several live podcasts with E24-podden, Nokon må gå, Giæver og Gjengen, Aftenpodden and Tore og Haralds podkast.
As a company anchored in the newspapers’ social mission, we want and need to take responsibility for the society we are part of. We work hard to stay involved in the development of a safe and responsible digital market in Europe, and sustainability is one of our core issues. So being at Arendalsuka is an important part of our work to be a strong and responsible builder of online marketplaces and digital consumer services in the Nordic region.
