What sets us apart from many other companies focusing on tech is our very clear purpose of working with services that truly make an impact. How we recruit
Even though each step can vary from role to role, these are the most common steps our candidates meet during a recruiting process. However, for the same role, the process will always look the same, to ensure that candidates applying for a specific role go through the same process and are assessed on the same grounds. The process is as much for our candidates as they are for us, so you can expect to get to know us well along the way.Read more

More than 1000 people work in Schibsted’s global tech community.
Today, Schibsted counts 1300 product, technology and data scientists, 30 % of which are women. This gives you a unique opportunity to learn from highly skilled colleagues. We have offices in Norway, Sweden, Poland, Finland and Denmark.
Schibsted offers a unique opportunity to make a impact in peoples everyday life.
Schibsted’s real impact comes from people finding our products and services valuable, and making them a part of their lives in ways that change how they act, consume and understand the world. We’re looking for that engagement to come and help impact the product you likely use yourself in your everyday life. In other words: at Schibsted you make an impact through a wide variety of products and services – all designed to empower people in their daily lives.
All Schibsted employees are counted on to bring new thoughts and ideas to the table.
The community is driven by learning and curiosity, as well as a common wish to create products that actually make a difference. Aiming to be a fearless force for change, all Schibsted technologists may dedicate 10% of their working time to professional development. In many cases, we hire for attitude and train for skills. When recruiting young talents, we emphasize a will to learn as well as a positive attitude and values that align with those of the company.
The tech community has a strong focus on diversity, inclusion and belonging
Wherever you look around Schibsted, collaboration is a red thread that keeps us going. Being open, sharing feedback and being active in driving a collaborative culture is super important wherever you work. In tech we often find our team settings with tech, product and UX working very closely together with high engagement and constant exchange – the people in the community are simply eager for everyone to feel welcome and a part of the team.
Schibsted ensures personal and professional development with an empowering work culture.
We have an empowering working culture, where people have a say in their own everyday work. This is closely tied to the Nordic management philosophy that permeates the company, and means that we trust you to make good decisions for yourself and for the company. Schibsted also facilitates further skills development through internal and external courses. Internal development programs are there to make sure employees both have regular quality talks with their leader and access to education and courses that are relevant to them.
We also have Schibsted Life, which aims to provide our employees with offers that create energy and inspiration in their everyday life and inclusion across different Schibsted companies. We offer running clubs, crosstraining, morning yoga sessions, Christmas workshops, inspirational talks and much more.
Schibsted has a strong focus on internal mobility between brands
There is a high opportunity for mobility between brands in Schibsted, and we arrange for people to be able to move between the companies and brands. In other words, there is a large labor market internally in Schibsted. Instead of being tied to one brand and one brand only, you enter a marketplace of companies, where you can move around – making career opportunities practically endless across countries and functions.
